Indy Christmas Conference

Praise God with us for what he did during this year’s Indianapolis Christmas Conference! 1850 college students from 92 campuses in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio & Illinois attended the 4 day conference.

A big highlight is the community outreach where the students take boxes of food into neighborhoods in the city to share God’s love with people in a very tangible way. Not only that, the students use that as an opportunity to share their faith with low-income families, women in prison, and others living in the inner city. People across Indianapolis heard the good news about God’s love. A student named Devin led someone to Christ only a day after accepting Christ himself. That afternoon, 3117 people were spoken with. Of that 1479 heard the message of the gospel with 175 making decisions to believe in Christ. Later that night, the students had an opportunity to become a part of God’s worldwide work by giving and pledging more than $39,000 to Cru’s ministry in Mumbai, India; to its ethnic student movement in Chicago; and to its humanitarian efforts in Southern Africa.

20081231blog2 Wait, who is that speaking in that picture? That’s Kristin! She and two members of her team, Ryan and Scott, got to share about how God works to reach students through their skills and jobs with Campus Crusade in front of the 1850 students during a main session. It was such a privilege to get to share!

Thank you all for your prayers during the conference. It was one of the best conferences ever. God really moved in these students lives.
